What is Double Elimination?
In a double elimination tournament, players can lose once and still come back to win the overall tournament.
How are the bracket pairings determined?
Bracket pairings are determined by a seed round. Players are seeded or ranked based on their total score in the seed round. The highest ranked player will play the lowest ranked, the second highest ranked player will play the second lowest ranked player, etc. In some cases, an intermediate round is required following the seed round to 'right size' the bracket. In the intermediate round, the lowest ranked players will play each other with the highest ranked players receiving byes for the intermediate round.

Putting Format
The putting format is based on the C1 Progression game with a varying number of frames for each round of the tournament.
C1 Progression
C1 Progression is a putting game which varies the putting distance between 5 and 10 meters based on the players result in the previous frame.

What is a Frame? A frame consists of 5 putts.

How many frames are in a standard C1 Progression game? 20 frames.

How is the putting distance determined? The first frame starts at 10 meters. The number of putts the player makes in a frame determines the distance the player will putt from in the following frame.
Putts Made Next Frame: Distance
0 5M
1 6M
2 7M
3 8M
4 9M
5 10M

How does scoring work? The points for each putt made is equivalent to the distance of the putt. For example, a putt from 5 meters is worth 5 points, a putt from 6 meters is worth 6 points, and so on. In a full C1 Progression game, the maximum score is 1,000 points.

Are there stance violations? Yes. Players must demonstrate full control of balance behind the designated distance marker after releasing a putt. A player failing to do so has committed a stance violation and the putt is disqualified.

How are stance violations called? Stance violations are self regulated apart from Finals where a match referee is present. A player is responsible for calling stance violations on themselves and may consult their opponents and fellow playing partners to determine if a stance violation was committed.
